Plant Farm makes baked goods and treats from Japanese rice flour and carefully chosen natural ingredients. Everything is made in our own kitchen in Tokyo. Everything we make is gluten-free, plant-based and halal-friendly, but taste always comes first. We make food we’d want to eat anyway, so that as many people as possible can share it.<\/p>\n
Plant Farm was founded by Michael Bobrove, who has lived in Japan for over forty years and has spent his career in wellness. Our team has been making gluten-free, plant-based food in Tokyo for nearly ten years, and everything we sell is made in our own kitchen here.<\/p>\n For us, rice flour isn’t a substitute for wheat. It’s simply a better fit for what we make. It has no gluten to develop, so the crumb stays tender and light however it’s mixed. Its flavor is clean, so the strawberries, bergamot or cacao come through rather than the flour. It absorbs less oil, which keeps everything lighter. It’s naturally gluten-free, and unlike wheat it isn’t one of the allergens Japanese law requires to be declared. And rice is the one staple Japan grows enough of, so using domestic rice flour supports Japanese farmers and the paddy fields themselves.<\/p>\n Yes, and not by taking wheat out of a recipe. Our kitchen is 100% gluten-free: no wheat, barley or rye comes into it, for any product, on any day. That matters more than the recipe does. Most gluten-free baking in Japan is made in kitchens that also handle wheat, where flour travels through the air and settles on equipment and surfaces. Ours can’t, because it isn’t there.<\/p>\n We apply the same thinking to what we buy. Our oats are certified gluten-free, because oats are often contaminated with wheat in the field or the mill, long before they reach any kitchen.<\/p>\n No food producer can promise zero traces, and we won’t claim it. What we can tell you is exactly how we work.<\/p>\n That’s your decision to make, and you’ll know better than we do what level of risk is right for you. Every product on sale today contains almonds (almond flour), and some also contain walnuts. Each product page lists its allergens.<\/p>\n All our products are made in a kitchen that also handles peanuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds and pistachios, so traces may be present.<\/p>\n Soy, peanuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds, pistachios, apple and banana. The allergens in each product are listed on its product page.<\/p>\n No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. We use natural and select organic ingredients, and our baking powder is aluminum-free.<\/p>\n Not everything. The ingredient list on each product page marks which ingredients are organic. Our cane sugar, soy milk and cocoa are organic, and so are several other ingredients. Where an ingredient isn’t organic, we don’t claim it is.<\/p>\n Yes. Everything we make is fully plant-based, with no dairy, eggs, butter, honey, gelatin or any other animal-derived ingredient.<\/p>\n Our products are halal-friendly by design: no alcohol, no animal-derived ingredients, and vanilla extract we make ourselves without alcohol. Hotels, airlines and caterers serve them to Muslim guests with confidence.<\/p>\n We normally dispatch within 3 to 5 business days of order confirmation. We don’t dispatch on weekends, public holidays, or during New Year, Golden Week and Obon. For convenience store payment, we dispatch once your payment is confirmed.<\/p>\n Anywhere in Japan. Ambient products such as cookies can also be sent overseas. Overseas orders aren’t available through the website yet, so please email info@plantfarm.jp. Chilled and frozen products are Japan only, and overseas delivery depends on the destination country’s food import rules.<\/p>\n \u00a51,100 per order (tax included). Muffins arrive chilled and cookies at room temperature. If your order has both, they travel together, chilled.<\/p>\n Yes. Most of our products arrive in a kraft gift box, ready to give.<\/p>\n Credit card, PayPay or convenience store payment. Credit card and PayPay are charged when you place the order.<\/p>\n For convenience store payment, a \u00a5220 fee applies, paid by the customer. Please pay by 23:59 (Japan time), three days after the order date. We dispatch once payment is confirmed.<\/p>\n Because our products are food, we can’t accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind.<\/p>\n If something arrives damaged, spoiled or isn’t what you ordered, email info@plantfarm.jp within 3 days of delivery. In short: cookies keep at room temperature, and muffins keep in the refrigerator.<\/p>\n The exact best before date is printed on the package. As a guide, cookies keep for about 6 months from their production date at room temperature. Muffins keep for about 225 days frozen, and then about 9 days in the refrigerator once thawed.<\/p>\n Yes.
